Tuana Yazici (right), a Saint Andrew’s Upper School student, made a presentation to more than 50 kindergartners at Saint Andrew’s. She spoke about protecting sea turtles from plastic waste and explained how sea turtles are at great risk of being harmed or even killed by ingesting marine debris. Following the presentation, Yazici led the students in an art project. Yazici, a native of Turkey, has organized several local beach cleanup efforts and raised money for the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center.
