At least 30 Delray Beach police officers were involved in blocking off a six-block area around Sandoway Discovery Center on A1A after an "agitated young man" with a cell phone and handgun was found in the parking lot of the nature center. More than 100 beach goers, surfers and nearby residents were kept from their cars and homes while police tried to difuse the situation on Nov.8.
