Delray Beach: Easter Sunday Sunrise

(l-r) Delray Beach residents Jennifer Magi, Sue Magi, and Jimmy Magi stop along State Road A1A in Delray Beach to watch the sunrise Easter morning. The family has been attending Easter sunrise in Delray Beach for over 30 years. They recently lost their patriarch Michael Magi after a three-year battle with Leukemia. Jimmy and Jennifer attended Boca High where Jimmy played lacross and Michael was a coach. Easter Sunday in Delray Beach usually draws hundreds of people before sunrise on A1A just south of Atlantic Avenue for a non-denominational service with sermons and hymns. However, local officials in Florida towns and cities closed beaches amid the coronavirus outbreak to prevent the spread of the virus. Tim Stepien/The Coastal Star
