Workers from a condo construction site across the street from Briny Breezes work to remove sod from Briny Breezes Blvd. on Nov. 5. Three pallets of sod were placed on land that slopes down to the road earlier in the week but heavy rains washed the sod into the road, where it clogged the drains and forced the road to be closed. A foreman on the job site said that the 7,000 metal landscape clips (intended to hold the sod in place) that were ordered with the sod did not arrive before the sod was installed.
