"Walk for Lupus Now" Raises Money and Awareness
September 17, 2009: The Lupus Foundation of America, Southeast Florida Chapter, encourages family and friends to gather at Anchor Park, 340 South Ocean Blvd, on October 31, 2009 for the "Walk for Lupus Now", a fundraising event that provides support for lupus patients and their families. Registration begins at 8:00 am with the walk immediately following at 9:00 am.
Lupus is a chronic inflammatory disease that can affect various parts of the body, especially the skin, joints, blood and kidneys.
Participants can start a walk team, become a member of an existing team or register as an individual. The walk is approximately 2.2 miles. To register for the "Walk for Lupus Now" event and/or become a sponsor, visit www.lupusfl.org.
