The City of Boca Raton, along with local veteran groups, will honor all military personnel who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country at a Veteran’s Day Observance, Monday, November 11, 2013, beginning at 9:00 am at the City of Boca Raton Cemetery located at 449 SW 4th Avenue.  Participating groups include American Legion Post #277 and its auxiliary unit, Boca Raton Elks Lodge #2166, Boca Raton Community High School unit of the Navy Junior ROTC under the direction of Commander Ken Bingham, Boca Raton Community High School Band under the direction of Jenn Mimmino, Fort Lauderdale Highlanders, and honor guard units representing the City’s Police Services and Fire/Rescue Services.  A commemorative wreath will be placed at the memorial monument by the Mayor, followed by the playing of “Taps,” and other traditional music played by the Boca High School Band and the bagpipe band of Ft. Lauderdale.
