United Way of Palm Beach County invites the community to help kick-off the 2012-13 Annual Campaign with the Food Truck/Food Drive – a family-friendly, foodie event with a cause! This evening of delicious fun and food-raising will allow guests of all ages to join together and enjoy gourmet cuisine from several of South Florida’s most popular food trucks while donating non-perishable food items to Palm Beach County Food Bank, United Way’s partner organization striving to end hunger in our community.  The Food Truck/Food Drive will also feature face painting, a bounce house, music and hands-on art projects guided by ActivistArtistA Gallery, sponsored by Jerry’s Artarama. MacaroniKid.com will be on site offering fun games and prizes! Plus, representatives from United Way’s partner nonprofits will be in attendance to meet guests and spread the word about all the good work they do in Palm Beach County.  A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the trucks, organized by Gourmet Truck Expo, will support United Way of Palm Beach County. Any remaining prepared items from the food trucks will be distributed to local soup kitchens immediately following the event by Palm Beach County Food Bank. For more information or to find out how you can volunteer, visit UnitedWayPBC.org, Facebook.com/UnitedWayPBC or call 561.375.6600.
