United Way of Palm Beach County will host its 2011-2012 Annual Meeting & Awards Breakfast, emceed by local, beloved News Channel 5 Meteorologist, Kait Parker, at the West Palm Beach Marriott on June 21 from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. Special guest speakers will share their deeply personal and meaningful stories about how United Way funded programs made a difference in their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Awards will be given to top workplace campaigns, donors, board members and volunteers who all helped make the 2011-12 year a success. Annual Meeting business will also take place, including the passing of the gavel from current Chairman of the Board, Art Menor, to incoming Chairman of the Board, Jay Shearouse. This event will offer an excellent opportunity to learn more about what United Way does for Palm Beach County, meet staff, as well as representatives from 40 local partner nonprofit organizations.
