Esteemed author John Loring will give a Gallery Talk  on February 22 at 12:15 p.m. for the Flagler Museum's current exhibition, "The Extraordinary Joseph Urban." The Gallery Talk is free with Museum admission, but space is limited. Please R.s.v.p by calling (561) 655-2833.

John Loring is the author of the new biography, Joseph Urban. Visitors are invited to tour the exhibition with Mr. Loring as he discusses the life, works and legacy of Joseph Urban (1872 -1933). Urban was a multi-faceted artist whose architectural legacy in Palm Beach includes the Paramount Theatre, Mar-a-Lago and the Bath and Tennis Club. Urban designed buildings throughout the world including, Esterhazy Castle in Hungary, the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York, and the New School for Social Research in New York. Urban's artistic talents overflowed into book illustrations, set designs and interior designs. The New York Herald-Tribune observed, Joseph Urban "did more than any other man to revolutionize the American sense of design."
