The Miracle League of Delray Beach Opens
New Field at Robert P. Miller Park
If you haven't heard, "The Miracle League of Delray Beach" is a non-profit organization that provides children with mental and/ or physical challenges an opportunity to play baseball as a team member in an organized league. Now, they can play on a brand new baseball field designed specifically with them in mind at the newly renovated Robert P. Miller Park, 1905 SW 4th Ave.
Join us on Saturday, May 15th at 2:00 pm for the Ribbon Cutting of the Anthony V. Pugliese V Miracle League Field with face painting, give-a-ways, and more! Bring your camera to catch that perfect photo opportunity with Billy the Marlin from the Florida Marlins baseball team. After the opening cheer on your favorite Miracle League team when they play two exhibition games.
The idea for a special needs field was born when Delray Beach league founders Jeff and Julia Kadel and a group of dedicated volunteers came together to provide a field for these special athletes. The Kadel's approached the city with their idea and over the course of six years the dream is finally coming true.
For more information, please contact Julia Kadel at (561) 414-4441.
