Teen Summer Creative Writing Workshop

June 11, 2009: The Delray Beach Parks and Recreation Department invites teens to join the Creative Writing Workshop every Friday during the summer at the "505" Teen Center, 505 SE 5th Ave. Participants will have a chance to work on their poetry, short stories and lyrics starting June 19th and running until August 7th from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm. The workshop will teach techniques and exercises that will aid in any creative writing form. Participants are encouraged to show up with an open mind and ready for criticism and new ideas, as everyone will have a chance to be critiqued and will critique others. The cost for the workshop is $5.00 for non-members and free to "505" Teen Center and Hobbit Skate Park Members. Students must bring a lined notebook and something to write with.
