Clay Glass Metal Stone Cooperative Gallery
Celebrates: Summer Daze – Friday, June 4 6-9 PM
A Summer Kick-off of Art, Watermelon and Sand-Casting Demonstrations
On Friday, June 4, Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery celebrates summer’s heat with a cool approach to the arts and local artists. Make art a summer treat while cooling off with large chunks of watermelon, lemonade from an old-fashioned Lemonade Stand and cups of cold Italian ices from Rita’s. Help artists make sand-castings that you can take with you when you leave. The celebration starts at 6 PM at 605 Lake Avenue in downtown Lake Worth.
The artists of Clay Glass Metal Stone fight back against the summer heat with an evening of fun, incorporating all of your summer cool-down treats, with art that will enhance your gardens and flower arrangements. Garden sculptures with plants and flowers that will survive the Florida heat will be on display throughout the gallery. Tropical glass fish, ready to catch and reflect the intense sun’s rays, will hang on walls and windows waiting for you to reel them in. Buckets of sand and plaster will be on hand waiting for you to create your own, unique sculpture. Jewelry with that light summer touch has been created to turn your body into a work of art that will defy the heat wave. Beach blankets, sand pails and hula hoops will be in profusion throughout the gallery paying homage to the luck we all share in being part of Lake Worth, this wonderful beach side village.
