From immigrants to those with long legacies in the United States, Jewish women helped lead the march to voting rights for all American women more than a century ago. Join Sylvia Gurinsky for a look at the Jewish icons of the suffrage movement – a combination of immigrants and families with long legacies in the New World. Learn how they overcame anti-Semitism and sexism to win the right to vote, and how Jewish women continued to play roles in election freedom in the U.S. and around the world long after the passage of the 19th Amendment. This lecture takes place 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm and is also available virtually.
