St. Paul’s Good Friday

Author to Lead Good Friday Meditations at 3 Hour Service

Members of St. Paul’s and St. Matthews’s Episcopal Church to walk Stations of the Cross through the streets of Delray Beach

St. Paul’s offers three services on Good Friday, April 6, 2012 – 7:30am, noon and 5:30pm.
These services are open to all.

At 7:30am on 4/6/12, the Good Friday Liturgy will be offered.  This includes a sermon and communion from the reserved sacrament.

At noon on 4/6/12, the Good Friday Liturgy and the Meditations are offered and open to all.  This traditional 3 Hour service at St. Paul’s features meditations on the traditional last words of Jesus and is a powerful way to prayerfully engage and remember Jesus’ Passion and Crucifixion.   This year The Rev. Bob Libby will be our guest speaker and offer the meditations.  Libby is the author of several books including The Forgiveness Book, Grace Happens and Coming To Faith.  An Episcopal Priest, Libby draws inspiration from his dual ministry as a pastor and communicator.  Before his retirement he served as the national director of radio and TV for the Episcopal Church.  As a priest, he served in St. Christopher-by-the-Sea in Key Biscayne and as interim dean of Trinity Cathedral in Miami.  Music for this service will be offered by Dr. Keith Paulson Thorp and members of the St. Paul’s Choir.
