Squares on the Square features the artwork of hundreds of artists who have donated their work for the sale, which benefits the campus’s Cornell Art Museum. Hundreds of pieces will be on exhibition and for sale.
Old School Square is bringing back its celebrated Squares on the Square sale and exhibition (previously, “6×6 Exhibition and Sale”), which features the artwork of hundreds of artists- from professional and novice- who have donated their work for the sale that will benefit the campus’s Cornell Art Museum.
The exhibition will be on display at the Cornell Art Museum and will kick off during the Delray Beach First Friday Art Walk on Friday, August 6, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. The show will remain on display until the Squares on the Square Sale and Cocktail Reception on August 25, where the work will be sold. 100% of proceeds from the artwork sold will go to The Cornell Art Museum in support of future cultural programming.
Hundreds of pieces spanning all mediums will be on exhibition in one of four sizes- 6×6 inches, 8×8 inches, 10×10 inches, or 12×12 inches, and will be sold at $35, $55, $75, and $95, respectively, at the sale and reception on Aug. 25.
The exhibition opening day will be free to the public, as part of the Delray Beach First Friday Art Walk, and $15 for entry thereafter. Entry to the Squares on the Square Sale & Cocktail Reception on Aug. 25 will be $5 per person, and artwork will be available for purchase throughout that event, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Additionally, this year Old School Square has introduced the Early Access Pass, available for $35 per person, that allows passholders to purchase any of the exhibition work prior to non-passholders starting August 6 and until 30 minutes before the sale begins on August 25. Early Access passes can be purchased starting August 6, in person or online at OldSchoolSquare.org. The Cornell Art Museum is located in the Old School Square campus at 51 N. Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach, Florida.
Now in its 8th year, Old School Square’s annual Squares on the Square exhibition benefits The Cornell Art Museum, the southernmost building on the organization’s downtown Delray Beach campus. The exhibition features hundreds of pieces from artists far and wide who have donated their work for the show and subsequent sale, with all proceeds going directly to the support of Cornell Art Museum for future programming and improvement projects. Squares on the Square will be on exhibition beginning August 6 and will culminate with the sale and reception event on August 25.
