In recognition of Bike Safety Month (May), the Recreation and Parks Department will be teaming up with the Boynton Beach Police Department to offer a very special activity for children (ages 6-12), where they will learn:

  • The importance of hand signals when turning
  • The importance of wearing a protective helmet
  • The rules of the road

Kids will also have the opportunity to navigate a skills course, which will help to develop the habit of using their brakes when coming to a stop.

Register to attend. The program is free of charge. Children should be accompanied by a parent/guardian, and furnish their own bikes to participate. Day of registration opens at 8:30 am.   A limited number of helmets will be available for children who don't have one. Pre-registration is encourage for those children.

Soft drinks will be provided for all kids participating in the program.
