Guitar virtuoso, Benise (Buh-ness-say) and cast return to South Florida for two shows – on Saturday, February 25 at 8 p.m. at the Miami Dade County Auditorium, 2901 West Flagler Boulevard in Miami and on Sunday, February 26 at 2 p.m.at the Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real in Boca Raton, with a brand new show – Spanish Nights! Armed with his Spanish guitar, Benise will take the audience on an unprecedented and epic adventure through Spanish Flamenco, Cuban Salsa, Brazilian Samba, Argentine Tango, Indian Bollywood, Parisian Waltz and exotic African drumming.
Introduced as “the Prince of Spanish Guitar” on Dancing With The Stars, Benise is a former street musician who began composing original works with powerfully emotional arrangements that are both wild and refined, producing a sound that is as edgy and exotic as it is romantic and sensual. A celebration of culture, love, music and life, Benise’s Spanish Nights will take us to worlds both far away and deeply personal, reminding us that hope can be the healing thread in all of our lives.
“Spanish Nights is a culmination of all the shows we have done over the past decade,” said Benise, the show’s composer, guitarist and creative force. “This show is a celebration of culture…pushing the boundaries of traditional Flamenco/Spanish guitar while combining the elements of dance and theater.”
In Spanish Nights, classic songs from Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, and The Eagles and combined with Spanish guitar and dance. The show is a blend of Benise’s passions of both Spanish guitar and rock with new new interpretations of his favorite classic anthems.
Benise handpicked the “Gitanas,” the dancers in Spanish Nights, from a global pool of brilliantly diverse talent. In breathtaking couture and innovative staging and choreography, they give Spanish dance a fresh and luminous makeover.
Spanish Nights also includes fan favorites from previous shows Night Of Fire! and The Spanish Guitar, directed by Amy Tinkham, who has worked with Paul McCartney, Celine Dion and Madonna; Raj Kapoor, who directed Josh Groban, American Idol and Dancing With the Stars; and choreographed by Alex Magno known for his work with Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and the Academy Awards.
“This is a great show for the whole family. We have something for everyone,” adds Benise. “I hope people will be inspired by our story, the music, and the production, leaving with a greater passion to follow their dreams.”
