"Snowy Day Party" Supports Mayor's Reading Initiative October 15, 2010: The Delray Beach Public Library, in partnership with the Mayor's Initiative on Reading and the Delray Beach Education Board, will host a "Snowy Day Party" on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at the Delray Beach Public Library, 100 West Atlantic Avenue, at 6:00 pm. Mayor Nelson S. "Woodie" McDuffie will welcome guests and read the classic children's book, The Snow Day, by Ezra Jack Keats. This event is free and children of all ages are invited to attend. An avid reader, Mayor McDuffie joins other mayors throughout Palm Beach County in their efforts to encourage reading and promote literacy. Each child attending the "Snowy Day Party" will receive a copy of The Snowy Day, which will be personally signed by the Mayor. Celebrate the wonders of reading at the "Snowy Day Party".
