SNAG Golf Classes

Boynton Beach, FL … The Ezell Hester Jr. Community Center will offer SNAG (Starting New at Golf) golfing classes on Saturday mornings.  The next session begins on October 15 for children ages 5-10 years. The program will run on a four-week schedule and parents must re-register their children at the start of each month. The classes will be divided into two sessions, one starting at 9:00 a.m. for children 5-7 years and one starting at 10:00 a.m. for children 8-10.

The cost is $30 for residents of Boynton Beach and $38 for non-residents, and no additional equipment is needed for the lessons. SNAG instructors will supply all students with the necessary tools in order for them to learn how to play golf or improve on what they have already been exposed to.

The SNAG teaching system is a child-friendly, safe and easy way for instructing basic skills to youngsters who want to learn the game or to get better. The SNAG coaching system uses task-focused instruction to improve the motor skills required to play golf. Students use specialized designed equipment that will make the transition to traditional equipment faster and easier. The equipment used is also the PGA’s teaching tools of choice. Your child’s future and golfing skills can be designed at the Hester Center for a nominal charge.
