Soap has been described as “the yardstick of civilization”. Cold process soap making can be traced to ancient times, and is still in use today. Learn this ancient method and create your very own soap. Learn a little about saponification (starting with how to say it!), why soap works, and the benefits that real soap brings to your skin. The class is for ages 15 and up and you will be given safety goggles to wear. You will determine the color, scent and additives for your soap, including clays and exfoliants. You will pick up your product the following week after it cures, taking home 3-4 bars of soap. Cost for one session: $25. Visit www.shoppe561.com for more information.
