Shannon Plumb: What a Character
at Boca Raton Museum of Art
April 21 through August 23, 2015
Shannon Plumb’s solo exhibition of short videos and Super-8 films is inspired by the spirit of slapstick comedy and the physical humor of iconic silent screen legends such as Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton. Plumb creates and plays a diverse cast of characters such as Olympic athletes, cowboys, and advertising announcers, employing a low-fi aesthetic with long takes and hand-made props and costumes.
Shannon Plumb: What a Character will be on view at the Boca Raton Museum of Art from April 21 through August 23, 2015.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am until 5pm, on Thursdays from 10am until 8pm, Saturdays and Sundays from Noon until 5pm and is closed on Mondays and holidays.
