Join healthcare, business and community leaders at the White Coats-4-Care Reception, sponsored by Kaye Communications, Inc. and hosted by The Bridge Hotel to “dress and equip” FAU’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine’s incoming students for healthcare career success.  Admission to the event is a donation for underwriting white coats, need-based scholarships, and academic medical education. Guests will also have the rare opportunity to attend a pre-reception private lecture and discussion given by the No. 81 Science Hero in the history of the world for saving more than a million lives by discovering the link between aspirin and the prevention of heart attacks.  Following his lecture on therapeutic lifestyle changes to improve the quality and quantity of life, Dr. Charles H. Hennekens, the first Sir Richard Doll Research Professor in FAU’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, will engage the audience in an enlightening question and answer session. The reception is the first event of the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce’s 2012 Festival Days.

To attend the reception, a gift is required:

$100 White Coat

$250 White Coat Ceremony Sponsor

$500 Medical Student Scholarship Award (based on need)

$1,000 Named Seat in the Medical Education Auditorium

(A personalized donor recognition or tribute plate will be placed on back of each seat)

$1,700 Total Medical Student Welcome Package, includes one of each item mentioned above

$5,000 “Named” Medical Student Scholarship Fund

In addition to the White Coats-4-Care gift, the private lecture opportunity is available for $20.
