Oliver Tompsett (Wicked; Rock of Ages) will join acclaimed songwriter Scott Alan for his two-week residency at The Hippodrome Casino. Joined by special guest Celinde Schoenmaker (Les Misérables), Tompsett will sing through Alan’s extensive songbook in a night filled with heartfelt songs and the stories behind them.

Oliver Tompsett is best known for his portrayal of the role of ‘Drew’ in the Original London cast of “Rock of Ages” and the lead role of ‘Galileo’ in the London production of ‘We Will Rock You’ . Oliver has been surrounded by rock music his entire life. The songs of QUEEN & the voice of Freddie Mercury have played a huge part in inspiring Oliver to follow his dream to be singer.”to sing the music of QUEEN to a large crowd is a dream come true”. Oliver has most recently played the role of ‘Phil Davis’ in WHITE CHRISTMAS at The West Yorkshire playhouse. He is also known for playing the role of Fiyero in WICKED. Other theatre work includes: the GHOST workshop in the leading role of Sam; THE ROYAL HUNT OF THE SUN directed by Trevor Nunn at The Royal National Theatre; Mamma Mia! at The Prince of Wales Theatre; OUR HOUSE at The Cambridge Theatre; Caliph in KISMET at The Arcola Theatre; Harry Lytton in OVER MY SHOULDER at The Wyndhams Theatre and as Tony in WEST SIDE STORY as part of the Canizzaro Park Festival. He has also appeared in numerous concert performances including CHRISTMAS IN NEW YORK and NOTES FROM NEW YORK and on TV, he has appeared on The Royal Variety Performance twice. Along side Oliver’s Acting career he is also an accomplished Singer/Songwriter.

On May 24th, 2012 Alan’s compositions, ‘It’s Good to See You Again’ was featured on the premiere episode of the ninth season of So You Think You Can Dance.
