Downtown Delray Beach’s award-winning Savor the Avenue returns on Thursday, March 18, when the longest dining table in the State of Florida welcomes more than 1,000 participants to an evening of gourmet cuisine and fine wine.
A limited number of reservations remained available more than a week before the event.
The popular epicurean event will feature a continuous, five-block-long dining table down the center of Atlantic Ave. in the heart of Delray Beach’s downtown. Savor the Avenue will showcase prix fixe menus from 18 of Delray Beach’s leading restaurants, paired with a portfolio of nine Santa Rita wines. New this year is an Art Auction, including many fine pieces from Delray Beach galleries.
The charity for this year’s event is The Office Depot Foundation, with $5 per reservation being donated by all participating restaurants.
Opening the evening will be the grand debut of Worthing Place, a six-story, courtyard-style luxury rental community of 217 residences with a range of
amenities. Savor the Avenue participants will gather at Worthing Park for cocktails at 5:30 pm --- sponsored by Russian Standard Vodka --- along with entertainment and a preview of the art to be auctioned later in the evening.
The Grand Toast at the Grand Table is scheduled for 6:30 pm, with dinner to follow from 7:00-8:30 pm. An after party hosted by il Bacio Lounge is scheduled from 9:00 pm – midnight.
Select residences bordering the courtyard pool of Worthing Place will showcase artworks from Downtown Delray Beach galleries available for purchase in a silent art auction. Bidding will be open from 5 pm until 9:30 pm.
