Public Meeting for Sara Sims Park Master Planning Process Boynton Beach, FL…The City of Boynton Beach Recreation and Parks Department and the Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) have teamed together to design plans for future redevelopment of and improvements to Sara Sims Park. Sara Sims Park is located at 209 NW 9 Court. It is a 4-acre site that was originally developed in 1979. The public is invited to review three conceptual plans for the site and to offer comments at a public Master Planning Meeting. The meeting is April 21, 2010 at 6 p.m. at the Carolyn Sims Center, 225 NW 12 Avenue. The purpose of the re-design is to modernize the site and make it more aesthetically pleasing to compliment the surrounding residential area. The park site also contains Sara Sims Cemetery which is included in the redevelopment plans. The City’s and CRA’s design consultants will be on site to explain the plans and listen to the public’s feedback.
