Flotilla 54 USCGAX will be conducting a safe boating class on Sat, November 22 at Harvey Oyer Park on Federal Highway just south of Gateway Blvd in Boynton Beach. It will begin at 8 am and conclude at approximately 4 pm. (with a 45 min lunch break) The course encompasses seamanship, weather, boat handling, docking, handling lines, rules of the road, ship to shore communication and environmental issues relating to our waters. It is a Powerpoint presentation. The cost which includes workbook and all related materials is $40. Upon completing the course each student will receive a certificate of completion and their information will be forwarded to the Florida Fish & Wildlife who will in turn forward a plastic "Safe Boating" card to each student.
