Safari Party Celebrates Families Reading Together

With the support of the Mayor's Literacy Initiative, the Palm Beach County "Families Reading Together" will host a Safari Party at the Delray Beach Public Library, 100 West Atlantic Avenue, on November 9th at 6:00 pm. Mayor Nelson S. "Woodie" McDuffie will welcome guests and read the book From Head to Toe by Eric Carle. The party is free and the public is invited to attend. Children will enjoy special appearances by Delray's own Dr. Doolittle and his "special" friends. Treats and prizes are planned for all. From Head to Toe was selected to emphasize "Families Reading Together". To promote this wonderful endeavor, each child at the party will receive a free copy of the book personally signed by Mayor McDuffie.
