The reception marks the closing of Roots of the Spirit, the multimedia exhibit and performance series, curated by ArtServe Consulting Curator Ludlow E. Bailey, which explores contemporary African spirituality as it relates to the global African Diaspora in music, art, film, theology, theater, fashion and dance. Guests will enjoy a silent auction including fine art and airline tickets to Africa as well as other items. An African Bazaar with clothing, jewelry, instruments and more, Afrobeats and Nigerian music by a deejay, a special performance by Jazz Pianist "Levi" and light refreshments will also be available. Free and open to the public.
