After nearly two years since razing its original 9,000-square-foot facility, The Lord’s Place has reached new heights and is “home for good” at the Fortin Family Campus. The new 25,000-square-foot client service center at 2808 North Australian Avenue in West Palm Beach opened and began serving clients in early June. The official ribbon cutting ceremony will take place Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 9:00 AM and is open to the public.
The “right sizing” of the main campus brings the plethora of services for those experiencing or at risk of homelessness under one roof--providing training and support services for the more than 1,800 clients served annually.
According to the creative vision adopted by the board of directors, “The Fortin Family Campus, at The Lord’s Place, is a beacon of hope for all who enter its doors. It reflects the importance and impact of the mission of The Lord’s Place - ‘breaking the cycle of homelessness in Palm Beach County.’ This building–a gift from and to the community–reflects our leadership in the homeless arena in South Florida and beyond.”
Joshua Catering, a social enterprise of The Lord’s Place which is now home and operating out of the Fortin Family Campus, will provide light snacks during the ceremony.
