ugar Sand Park will host an annual family festival paying tribute to the artistry of puppets on Sunday, Jan. 30 from 11 am- 4 pm.
Visitors will enjoy face painting, arts and crafts, carnival games and prizes, strolling characters and puppeteers, rides, sand art, and food vendors, all in a whimsical setting. Plus, The Amazing Mr. A will perform his Ventriloquism and Comedy Show.
The festival will introduce a new feature-a Chalk Art Show. Guest chalk artist Lee Jones will give a workshop on Saturday, Jan. 29 from 10 am- 1 pm for participating artists, and will be the guest judge for the event. The public can enter to take part by downloading an entry form from the website, or visiting Sugar Sand Park community center. Participants can choose to chalk for the fun of it, or compete for awards and prizes. The deadline for entry has been extended to January 23.
