WXEL TV42 is hosting a Preview Screening of THE HURRICANE OF 1928, which is part of the PBS TV station's award-winning "Heritage" series, which spotlights South Florida history and airs on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.
Who:
The Preview Screening and Meet & Greet will be hosted by local broadcasting giants Alan Gerstel and Laurel Sauer, who co-host the "Heritage" series and are the new faces of WXEL TV42. Dessert and coffee will be served.
When:

Note:
The hurricane of 1928 was the second deadliest natural disaster in U.S. history, killing an estimated 3,000 local people. Most of the victims were migrant workers in the Glades. Survivors recount the horrors of the storm. The half hour documentary also focuses on the segregated society that permitted a mass grave for hundreds of local victims to remain unmarked for nearly 70 years.
