In what the New York Times called a “soul satisfying new musical,” The Spitfire Grill tells the story of Percy, a young woman just released from prison, who shows up in a small Wisconsin town that she read about in a brochure.  While Percy begins her search for belonging and redemption, an entire town is set upon its own journey of discovery and meaning, and finds it with the help of a mysterious visitor.  A lovely and lively country music inspired score, heartfelt lyrics and a funny and touching book make this relatively unknown musical an unexpected treat.  At PBA we look for stories with redemptive qualities, and at the little Spitfire Grill, we have struck gold.
