Jazz Artist Paulette Dozierwill perform at the Lake Worth Playhouse as part of their acclaimed concert series on January 25 at 8:00 pm.
The talented singer/actress recently appeared at Delray’s Arts Garage where she ‘wowed the crowd’ with her stylish interpretations of an exciting combination of jazz classics, contemporary and Broadway music, and even her own compositions.
Dozier’s voice, which has been called ‘deep, steady and sexy’, along with her dynamic stage presence, an instant connection with her audiences, and an infectious sense of humor all combine to make her concerts truly unique. Paulette will be backed by three of South Florida’s top musicians: Brad Keller (piano), Kai Sanchez (bass), and James Cotman (drums).
Paulette Dozier has produced two very well received CDs; With You (2005), and Over & Over (2007), and is planning to release a third album in the fall of 2012. The Carbonell Award nominated actress will appear as jazz great Billie Holiday in the Boca Raton Theatre Guild’s production of ‘Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill’ in late April.
