The Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade benefits the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots organization, which is sponsored by the Simon C. Fireman Charitable Foundation. Last year, the MIAPBC almost doubled the amount of toys they received from the previous year, exceeding their goal of 15,000 and collecting nearly 19,000 new, unwrapped toys for children in need!Tens of thousands of spectators came out to enjoy the procession of over 50 decorated vessels sparkling on the Intracoastal Waterway beneath a backdrop of fireworks. This year’s extravaganza promises to provide the same entertainment. Winners are based on boat size, category, and best overall.Toy donations can be dropped off at dozens of local area collection points or, once again, be picked up dockside during the parade. Just wave a flashlight when you see a passing red or yellow towboat, or a volunteer vessel with a flashing amber beacon. For boat entry applications, the parade route, toy drop-off locations, and other information, visit the Web site at palmbeachboatparade.com or call the hotline at 561.848.7883. Photo images and logos are available upon request. Keep up-to-date by becoming a Palm Beach Boat Holiday Parade fan on Facebook.
