Palm Beach County Environmental Coalition meeting is Monday, August 9th at 7 p.m. at the Quaker Meeting House (823 North A Street) in Lake Worth.  There are lots of important issues on the agenda – so I’ll see you there!   Other important upcoming dates to save (watch your inbox for details about these meetings/events – but save the dates now!) August 11 – 7 p.m. – March Against Wal-Mart Planning Meeting – Old School Square, Delray Beach August 14 – 8 a.m. – Lake Worth Beach – Beach Clean-up with Phi Theta Kappa from Palm Beach State College August 16 (tentative) – Delray Beach Planning & Zoning Commission meeting August 21 – Noon-2 p.m. – Protest at Port Everglades (The biggest oil distribution point in the Southeast & site of a BP distribution facility) – US1 & SR 84 in Fort Lauderdale August 29 (tentative) – 3 p.m. – Defend the Gulf movie screening – Activists’ Center – Lake Worth (tentative) September 14 – David Cobb & Move To Amend Forum at UU Congregation in North Palm Beach – 7-9 p.m. September 15 – David Cobb & Move to Amend Forum at October 9 – Green Expo at Palm Beach State College – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. October 10 – 10/10/10 Global Work Party to Save Our Planet – 2 – 5 p.m. – MCC, 2011 S.
