What:       23rd Annual Palm Beach Chamber Music Festival,

                  Featuring works by Schubert, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Hummel, Villa-Lobos, Dohnanyi, de Falla and many others

 

Where:     West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Delray Beach

 

When:       Thursday, July 3; Fridays, July 11, 18 & 25 at 7:30 P.M. – Helen K. Persson Recital Hall, Palm Beach Atlantic University, 326 Acacia Rd., West Palm Beach, FL

 

                  Saturdays, July 5, 12, 19 & 26 at 7:30 P.M. – Eissey Campus Theatre, Palm Beach State College, 11051 Campus Dr., Palm Beach Gardens, FL

 

                  Sundays, July 6, 13, 20 & 27 at 2:00 P.M. – Crest Theatre, Delray Center for the Arts, Old School Square, 51 N. Swinton Ave., Delray Beach, FL

 

Cost:       $25 per concert or $85 for 4-concert subscription. Free admission for students (w/ID).

The 23rd annual Palm Beach Chamber Music Festival begins Thursday, July 3rd and runs through Sunday July 27th. Concerts take place at 7:30pm Thursday, July 3rd  and Friday nights beginning July 11th at Helen K. Persson Recital Hall, Palm Beach Atlantic University in downtown West Palm Beach; 7:30pm Saturday nights at Eissey Campus Theatre, Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens; and Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm at Crest Theatre, Delray Center for the Arts (Old School Square) in Delray Beach.  Works on the Festival concerts include Herbert Howells’ Rhapsodic Quintet for clarinet and string quartet, Op. 31; W.A. Mozart’s Quartet in F major, K. 370/K. 368b for oboe, violin, viola & cello; Jean Françaix’ Quintette No. 2 for flute, harp, violin, viola and cello; Felix Mendelssohn’s String Quartet No. 3 in D major, Op. 44, No. 1; James Stephenson’s Trio Sonata for trumpet, violin and piano and many others.
