Aspiring studio photographers are invited to attend an open workshop at Oxbridge Academy on January 12. Participants will be provided with DSLR cameras to capture vibrant photographs in a fully functional studio, complete with professional lighting equipment. Members of the school’s Fine Arts Department will be onsite to teach the class how to capture a range of subjects, from still life to portraits, in order to understand the basics of lighting, composition and posing subjects in portraiture. The photography class is part of Oxbridge’s First Thursdays series, an open studio visual arts event featuring a new art discipline each month.
