Parents interested in learning how to create a positive home learning environment are invited to attend a free public discussion at Oxbridge Academy of the Palm Beaches, the new, independent high school in West Palm Beach. A panel of local experts will address a range of topics from how much time students should spend on social media or video games to healthy eating and sleeping habits to getting your child to read more. Panelists include Kelly Burlison, assistant professor of reading/ ESOL at Lynn University; Mary Reid Bogue, director of strategic partnership and master instructor at Score At The Top Learning Centers & Schools; and Dr. Robyn Cassel, a clinical psychologist at Whole Health Psychological Center specializing in the assessment and treatment of preschool children through young adults. This is the first discussion in Oxbridge Academy’s new parent series, which is designed to engage local families in thoughtful and informative conversations about parenting, education and healthy living.
