Grammy-nominated Othello Molineaux's powerhouse performances blend Afro-Caribbean sounds with funky steel drum beats. Molineaux is widely credited with introducing "pan" to the Jazz world. The Trinidad native first appeared on the jazz scene in 1976 when he recorded with Jaco Pastorius on his Grammy nominated debut album. In addition to his critically acclaimed CD, “It’s About Time,” Molineaux has recorded with Chicago, Monty Alexander, Michael Urbaniak and has arranged steel bands with Herbie Hancock.
Jazz Jubilee Pass for 3 events is $60 and includes reserved table seating. Per performance is $20-$30 in advance, $25-$35 at the door. For these events, Arts Garage is BYOW, “Bring Your Own Whatever,” and guests are encouraged to bring a bottle of wine, munchies, a complete meal, deserts, coffee or “Whatever” else they’d like.
