ORT America, the largest non-governmental educational organization in the world, serving 300,000 students in 55 countries across the globe, will celebrate 90 years since its founding in the United States with two South Florida events, the Inaugural Major Gifts Gala on Sunday, February 26, 2012 and 2012 Annual Meeting on February 27, 2012.
The Inaugural Major Gifts Gala on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, FL will honor the philanthropic supporters who have shown an unparalleled dedication to ORT America's mission to "Educate and Elevate.” The gala will kick off with a cocktail reception followed by dinner, where His Excellency Ambassador Ron Prosor, Israel’s newly appointed Permanent Representative to the United Nations, will speak to guests about relationships between the United States and Israel.
The following day, Monday, February 27, 2012, ORT will host the 2012 Annual Meeting at the Kravis Center Cohen Pavilion in West Palm Beach, FL. ORT supporters from across the nation will come together to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the organization’s founding in the United State while having the opportunity to learn more about ORT America’s 2012 goals. Attendees of the Annual Meeting will have the opportunity to hear Dr. Jean De Gunzburg, President of World ORT (and a descendant of ORT co-founder Horace de Gunzburg) speak; view a demonstration of interactive smart boards pioneered by ORT’s Kadima Mada (Science Journey) program in Israel, and learn more about ORT programs in Latin America and the United States.
“I am especially delighted to have this event held in the Palm Beach area, offering many of our donors and the local community an opportunity to participate in an ORT America national event!,” says The Honorable Toby Feuer (Weston, FL), the 2012 Annual Meeting Chair.
