The world premiere of “Not In My Town,” a musical drama telling the story of best friends Matthew Shepard and Romaine Patterson, takes the stage at The Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets: From $35, via OperaFusion.org. “Not In My Town,” written by Fort Lauderdale composer and librettist Michael W. Ross, is the story of the events surrounding the 1998 murder of Shepard, the gay Wyoming college student who was beaten and left tied to a fence.
