To celebrate the musical component of the Whitfield Lovell: Passages exhibit, Florida Memorial University’s (FMU) Ambassador Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Argarita Johnson-Palavicini, presents an outstanding performance of spirituals and choral literature. Located in Miami Gardens, FMU is one of the oldest academic centers in the state and the only historically Black university in South Florida. The Chorale performs both nationally and internationally to great acclaim. 
 
Arrive early to explore Lovell’s installation Deep River, which features Marian Anderson’s moving rendition of the spiritual “Deep River.” Museum docents will be present from 5:15-5:45pm to share information about the exhibit.
