Bassoonists Erika Andersen and Scott Pool perform a concert filled with living composers bringing pieces rarely performed together to form a compelling program. Tatar-Russian composer Sofia Gubaildulina, American composer Libby Larsen, French bassoonist/composer Marc Vallon, and Dutch composer/pianist Louis Andriessen each bring their unique voice into this program. From Jazz to Contemporary Renaissance-inspired works, one can hear the different influences of each composer’s culture and history with music set in the modern day.
