Get ready for The Art of Laughter: A Hysterical New Comedy Series at Arts Garage!
Come see some of the best touring comedians from South Florida and beyond. First Thursdays, quarterly in 2022.
Monique Marvez
If you have Showtime, Amazon Prime & HBOMax, you can watch Monique Marvez on all three at once! Let’s not leave out her own YouTube, Spotify, Pandora channels & heavy rotation on Sirius/XM! This everywhere at once comic has built an enormous foundation of funny the old fashioned way: hard, constant work, never ending travel and a deep desire to uplift, energize & electrify her large (and ever growing!) loyal fan base. Luckily, her intentions and hard work are matched with talent and incredible delivery! To see her live is a combination of HA! HA! and AHA! That stays with you long after your face and abs recover from laughing!
Monique Marvez uses her wit, wisdom, and ability to provoke thought judiciously while using her talent and ability to induce laughter & relentless POSITIVITY with reckless abandon.
Don’t miss this show! Especially if you’ve felt shaken, stirred and a bit beat up by the last few years…or perhaps most of your life…
Feature Comedian: Chris Robinson
Christopher Robinson is a young comic who started life in New York but began doing stand-up in central Florida. Growing up with divorced parents, one who is a successful businessman and the other a non-profiteer, he spent his childhood going back and forth between two completely different worlds which developed his unorthodox point of view. His comedy is rooted in his unique perspective and understanding of both sides to almost every story.
Guest Comedian: James Patterson
Jim Patterson is cute, cuddly and responds to his name when called. No, wait…that’s his dog ‘Gizmo’ (who gets fed better than he does). Jim is none of those things but he is FUNNY especially when he’s joking about aging, marriage and his aforementioned household nemesis. Jim is the winner of the 2019 Improv Turkey Contest, the 2021 Cape Coral Winter Comedy Festival and has opened for greats such as Mark Normand and Jimmy Shubert.
