As a special pre-Valentine’s Day event, on Monday, February 13th at the Preservation Foundation’s offices Woody Allen’s film Midnight in Paris (2011) will be presented.
Preceding the film, a newly restored colorized version of Georges Méliès’s classic 1902 silent film Le Voyage Dans La Lune / A Trip To The Moon will be shown. This restoration with a new musical score by revered Parisian electronic duo AIR has only just premiered this past year at the Cannes Film Festival. This will be the premiere showing of this newly restored colorized version in Florida.
The showings will begin at 6pm and end at 8pm.
The showing will be held in Rosenthal Lecture Room at the Preservation Foundation’s offices located at 311 Peruvian Avenue in Palm Beach.
Please note, doors lock at 6:15pm.
The Foundation’s Executive Director Alexander C. Ives will present a short introduction to the film, highlighting the perspective on history and living in past the film offers.
Refreshments will be provided.
Attendees will receive a special CD of music from and inspired by the films.
The film showing is FREE to all. However, only reserved seating is available. Those who wish to attend must call 561.832.0731 to reserve a seat.
