The Michael Feinberg Trio perform original compositions as well as reimaginings of the great American songbook a la Keith Jarrett’s famous trios. Influences also include John Coltrane, McCoy Tyner, Chick Corea, and Kenny Kirkland.
PERFORMER BIO:
Bassist Michael Feinberg has been heralded as “a rising star on the New York jazz scene” (LA Weekly) and has appeared with many notable artists like Jon Batiste, Dave Liebman, Billy Hart, Ambrose Akinmusire, Aaron Parks, and more. Feinberg has released 8 albums with his 9th, Blues Variant (Criss Cross) due for release at the end of 2022. A graduate of the University of Miami, Feinberg is also a faculty member at Berklee College of Music.
Tal Cohen is a virtuosic pianist active in the states and Australia where he used to reside. Tal has been featured alongside Terrence Blanchard, Greg Osby, and Dafnis Prieto to name a few.
