Marlow Rosado was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Miami to attend Florida Atlantic University on a full paid scholarship where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Music Education. After Graduation, Marlow went on to work as a Music teacher for the Miami Dade County School Board where for ten years he dedicated his life to bringing quality music education to our school. These efforts earned him a 2014 proclamation by then superintendent of MDCPS Alberto M. Carvalho and made him the 2015 distinguished alumnus recipient for the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters at FAU.

In 2009 his debut album “Salsalsa” generated immediate attention in the Latin music community and got him signed to the legendary ‘Fania Records’, making him the first artist to be signed by the emblematic label in 18 years. In 2012 Marlow Rosado released his second and life-altering album entitled “RETRO”. This record surprised the entire Latin music industry when it won the 2012 American Grammy for “Best Tropical Latin Album” beating out Latin music’s giant Romeo Santos. Committed to moving forward quickly after the monumental success of “RETRO”, Marlow Rosado releases his 3rd production, “SALSANIMAL”. This album is a true image of Rosado’s forceful and passionate personality. With this production, the aggressive producer/songwriter shows us why he is “the heavy-metal band of salsa” a name given to him by the LA Times. Then album 4, the natural and unique record named “Harlow-Marlow” (2017). This collaboration with Salsa legend Larry Harlow made it to #7 on the Billboard Tropical Charts. Continuing on to his latest release of the 5th and very strong statement “FEMINOMANIA” A record that includes thirteen songs and twelve female vocalists. Here we have the collaboration of Rosado with female singers like Albita, Aymee Nuviola, Patty Padilla, Brenda K Starr, Carolina LaO to name a few. While 2020 has been a year of change for most, this holds true for Marlow Rosado who for the first time was able to produce two full albums. From the driving rock-tracks co-written on Alejandra Guzman’s “Lipstick” album (nominated for Best Rock Album of the Year by both the American and Latin Grammys), to the emotionally charged Yolandita Monge’s production “SENTIMIENTO BORINQUEÑO”, as well as works with Elvis Crespo, Hector Acosta, and Puerto Rican Power, are a true showcase of Marlow’s creative elements. Numerous media articles have been written on him throughout the years. From notable sources like the LA Times, Billboards, Peoples Magazine, Huffington Post, Miami Herald and many more.
