Life lessons inspired by our Passover journey. Join author Bracha Horovitz in conversation with Cantorial Soloist Michelle Auslander Cohen for an evening of empowerment and inspiration. Bracha will share her story: growing up as the State of Israel was just becoming a country, serving in the IDF, participating in the Miss Israel beauty pageant, and getting married and raising a family in Israel. After moving to the US, Bracha’s son was born with severe disabilities, and hardship suddenly became a permanent aspect of her life. Instead of saying “Why me?” Bracha turns it around and says “Why not me?” and lives a life of resilience.

About Bracha Horovitz

The daughter of an Auschwitz survivor, Bracha grew up surrounded by resilient people who worked to establish the State of Israel. She joined the IDF; parachuted from planes and learned to shoot machine guns. Her book, “Soldier On” is the story of how one woman and her family discovered how they could, with courage and perseverance, transform suffering into a beautiful life.

Soldier On: A Woman’s Memoir of Resilience and Hope by Bracha Horovitz is available for purchase on Amazon in paperback, kindle and audiobook. We suggest purchasing and reading the book prior to the event. Bring the book with you, and Bracha will sign it.
