In collaboration with the Bahamian Celebration Committee Arts Garage Presents The Togetherness Band

A Christmas celebration for the Palm Beach Bahamian association featuring a selection of music ranging from island music, soca, reggae & top 40s hits. Togetherness Band has been performing in the South Florida area for over 35 years. “When the roots of these Three West Indian countries unite you have Togetherness.”

The Togetherness Band was established in the summer of 1986 and was comprised of 5 members at time. Tony, Perma, and Dwight all from the Bahamas, St. CIair Husbands from Barbados, and Granville Ramey from Jamaica.

The band has performed throughout the state of Florida in such places as Penrod’s Beach Club on Miami Beach, Ritz Carlton in Naples, FL, and Palm Beach Hilton in Palm Beach, FL. At that time they felt that they were still missing a part of their island culture in the music and a search went out for that missing link. Two years later that link was found in Paul Shaw, a great Steel pan player. Together they formed South Florida’s most versatile band (Togetherness Band).

The band continued on their quest to dazzle audiences in many other places including West Indian night clubs and also places like Williams Island, Fishers Island, Bon Ton Square in Ft Lauderdale, Biscayne Yacht Club, Shooters, Banana Boat, and Sea Fair just to name a few. They now play at TugBoat Annies in Dania Beach.

“We have a large selection of Island music, (Soca, Reggae, Salsa) and we have a HOT, HOT, HOT performance. We dazzle people of all ages. We believe in producing high quality music to keep our audiences happy at all times. Unlike some other group, we are proud of the fact that we still have all the original members of the band.”

Our motto is “like the colors of the rainbow, we stay together”
