*“Lantana’s 90th Anniversary Celebration”

Saturday, July 2, 2011, from 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.*

 

Lantana, FL – The Town of Lantana will celebrate its 90th Anniversary on July 2nd from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Town Hall grounds on Greynolds Circle.  Opening ceremonies begin at 11:30 a.m. with the National Anthem sung by Monique McCall, a birthday cake for Lantana, announcement of school art contest winners and more.  The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for the new Police Annex Building is also at 12:30 p.m.

 

There will be live music by the Salty Pirates from Noon to 3 p.m. and Old School New School Band from 4 to 7 p.m.  Folk music will be played by Bill and Marge Chauvin from 3:15-3:30 p.m. 

 

Additionally, there is a Jaws of Life demonstration by PBC Fire-Rescue at 3:30 p.m. and a show of antique boats and other items from the Coast Guard.  There will also be antique cars and the Historical Society has a gallery photos and other items depicting Lantana’s history in the Council Chambers. 

 

Plenty of food, vendors and activities for the kids complete a wonderful day!  Kids’ activities include face painting, bean bag toss, a huge bounce house, balloon artists, sack races, hula-hoops and other games!  Everyone is invited to enjoy celebrating Lantana!
